Description

Herdwick Baker Boy Cap – Swirl Crag

This 8 piece Baker Boy Cap is made using our luxurious plain Herdwick fabric and silk inner. It is based on the flat cap but is fuller and has a button on the top.

These caps originate from Italy and Britain in a trend from the working classes in the 1910’s and 20’s. A casual-wear cap similar in style to the flat cap. The body is fuller and rounder than that of the flat cap although it has a similar stiff peak. The body of the cap is paneled and the button on the top completes the look.  We offer them in all our Herdwick 9 plain colourways.

COMPOSITION: Wool, Satin

CARE: do not bleach, do not wash, wipe any marks immediately

All Herdwick fabrics are designed and created in the northern parts of the UK, where possible within the Lake District. We only source our fleece and yarn from local farmers who are experienced breeders of the much loved Herdwick sheep.

Fabrics are created in the Yorkshire Dales, woven on traditional hand looms, then printed and dyed by experts in their fields. All designs are created within Cable and Blake’s studios and have been inspired by the region’s iconic landscapes and lakes.

This has enabled us to offer a unique Herdwick woollen fabric that is produced to the highest quality locally, ensuring the minimum carbon footprint.
