By using this website or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. Please also read our privacy statement regarding personal information provided by you. These terms of business are to protect and clarify the legal rights of our customers as well as ourselves.
We may change these terms from time to time without notice. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.
Each fabric and other items purchased, is sold subject to its product description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Dimensions are approximate and although every care has been taken to ensure that the colours are reproduced accurately, some items are natural materials and are hand printed and handmade, shading, dimensions and manufacturing characteristics may vary slightly from the product pictured.
Every effort has also been taken to display the colours of our products that appear on our website, accurately as possible. However, due to variations in display monitors, we recommend ordering a sample of your desired colour/s to eliminate doubt. Samples can be ordered on our website.
Our fabrics and dyes can be affected by light, therefore we recommend that products where possible are positioned away from direct sunlight and heat to protect them from fading and premature wear.
Regular cleaning in accordance with the care instructions will also prevent dirt prematurely aging or damaging your fabric.
Our fabrics are sold by the full meter only and are supplied without any soil or flame retardant coatings. When selecting fabrics please note the suitability for purpose within the descriptions.
We reserve the right to withdraw items from our range at any time without prior notice.
By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you are unhappy with any aspect of these terms, then you should contact us before placing an order email: email@example.com.
We aim to have permanent availability although we cannot guarantee this. In the event that an item is out of stock, we will advise you accordingly and provide an estimated delivery date after the product is anticipated to be back in stock.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check and confirm that he/she is satisfied that all details and aspects of the order are correct and suitable for his/hers requirements and specifications, including without limitations, measurements, dimensions and product features. We do not take responsibility for over or under ordering of any of our fabrics.
Any additional orders, as a result of under ordering, will be treated as a separate order and cannot be added on to a previous orders.
If in doubt, we recommend that, when ordering fabrics, advice is sought from a trained professional or fitter.
Lampshades, cushions and bespoke furniture are made to order (they are not stock items) please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss timescales.
Prices, Payment and Taxes
All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in pound sterling(£) and where appropriate are inclusive of sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. All purchases are subject to delivery charges. Please see delivery charges.
Cable & Blake accepts online payment in a secure environment by all major credit cards – Visa, Mastercard, Visa Delta, Solo (except Amex) and Maestro credit and debit cards and PayPal. All transactions are shown in pounds sterling(£)
Payment is also accepted by Cheque or BACS. When paying by cheque, please write your cheque guarantee card number, guaranteed amount and expiry date on the back of your cheque. Cheques will require 7 working days for clearance before the goods are dispatched. Please make cheques payable to Cable and Blake. Payment is required in full for all fabrics and other products sold, before goods are dispatched. Once full payment is received and items are dispatched, they become the property of the buyer.
The dispatch time of your order will depend on the individual products you have ordered and their availability. We aim to dispatch products that are in stock within 5 working days. READ MORE delivery’s and returns. Please note during peak periods you should allow up to seven to 10 days. Where possible we will endeavour to send all of your order together, however any items that are out of stock will be sent as soon as possible, please note you will only be charged one delivery charge per order. Additional orders place will be charged accordingly.

Duties and local taxes
Purchasers are responsible for any duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country.
Tracking your parcel
If you have an email address registered with us you will receive an email to confirm that your items have been dispatched.

Returns & Refunds Procedure
We want you to be delighted with your purchase and do our very best to ensure that our customers are satisfied with our product and service.
If you are not completely satisfied with your Cable and Blake Product you may return it at your cost (which for overseas Customers must include all UK customs clearance formalities) within 28 days after receipt of your order undamaged and in the original packaging for a full refund together with the delivery note. However, if a product has been made individually to your specification then these rights to return do not apply, unless the product is faulty. Please return the goods to:

Please note that cut lengths of fabric and made to order products such as, Cushions & Lampshades cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are proven to be faulty.
Refusal of Transaction
We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this Website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this Website whether or not that product has been sold, removing or editing any materials or content on the Website, refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.
Cable & Blake may cancel an order at any time before delivery.
Defective goods, Damaged Goods or Short Deliveries
- a) Non-receipt of goods: Any claim for the non-receipt of goods must be made in writing within a maximum of 14 days from the date of the confirmed delivery date.
- b) Errors and omissions: Customers should check all deliveries immediately for shortages, faults, damages or incorrect products. The buyer must inform Cable & Blake in writing, within 7 days of the date of delivery.
- c) No claim will be considered in any circumstances should the goods have been cut, modified or damaged by buyer in any way.
- d) It is a characteristic of natural textiles that there will be variations in the weave, colour and texture including occasional slubs and as such claims for irregularities will not be accepted under any circumstances. To ensure exact colour matching it is advised to order quantities required for future use at one time. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy of colours, because of the limitations of the printing process, variations may occur and colours may not always be exact. - e) We will not be held responsible for any miscalculation of fabric orders. It is the responsibility of the customer to check all fabric details including repeats and drops.
- f) We will not be held responsible for any fabrics fading if they have been exposed to small amounts of gas, carbon monoxide, sun, strong lights or if they have been treated after leaving us, such as Flame retarding or softeners, all of which can have an effect on the fastness.
- g) Claims for labour charges will not be accepted under any circumstances.
You, the buyer, warrant that all details provided on the website/over the telephone for the purpose of purchasing the products are correct, that the debit/credit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds and/or sufficient unused limit available to cover the cost of the products.
